Why Secondary 1 Math feels different
Primary school problem sums are solved with models. Secondary 1 Math moves quickly into algebra, negative numbers and equations, and gives method marks for clear working. Starting before school does
After the PSLE, our P6 to Sec 1 Preparation Course starts Primary 6 students on negative numbers and algebra, until our last class of the year on 11 December. Students then continue with Secondary 1 Math in January.
How every lesson works
Every class has at most 6 students and lasts 2 hours. Each topic follows the Outclass Approach: Understand, Apply, Master, Perform, and your child moves on only when ready. After every lesson, parents see the topic, the stage reached and a tutor's note in our parent app, with a monthly progress report.

Do you teach G2 and G3 Math?
Yes, to your child's subject level, following the MOE syllabus for that level.
When should my child start preparing for Secondary 1 Math?
After the PSLE is ideal. A few lessons on negative numbers and algebra make the first term much smoother.
My child was strong in PSLE Math but is struggling now. Is that normal?
Yes. Algebra asks for a different way of thinking from model drawing. With a clear method and regular practice, most students settle within a term.
How much are lessons?
$90 a lesson, 2 hours, at most 6 students. No registration or material fees.
